Overview

The project comprised the substantial Cat A/Cat B refurbishment of an existing office building located in the city for an insurance sector client. The site was 120,000ft2 over 8 floors.

The client was relocating from their existing office to a new space and wanted to incorporate workplace innovation into the project where possible. The client also wanted to evaluate the environmental credentials of all materials incorporated within the project.

Challenges

There were a number of challenges that Quoinstone's expertise and hands-on approach helped overcome during the project:

  • The condition and provisions of the existing building. Work was also being undertaken on multiple floors simultaneously. By working closely with experienced contractors, we were able to successfully manage the refurbishment and execute the client’s vision.

  • Balancing innovation with practicality. We ensured that the end result provided an innovative but accessible space for the client’s team.

  • Management of client direct works within the overall project programme.
