Overview
The project involved the demolition of the existing house on site and the construction of an award-winning modern apartment block with 5 high quality/ luxury apartments.
Challenges
There were a number of challenges that Quoinstone's expertise and hands-on approach helped overcome during the project:

The coastal location and the narrow nature of the site meant that we had to prepare for constrained construction operations. Bad weather during the construction process was also challenging at times, which put pressure on the programme.

With existing houses and apartment blocks on either side of the property, we acted as the main point of contact and managed relationships throughout the project to avoid cost implications.

Programming, sequencing and procurement issues arose on the project, which required Quoinstone to take an active lead in the day-to-day works on site towards the end of the project. This enabled us to achieve the required quality.
